Applying for training

RE: Confirmation of Multiagency Training Arrangements September 2020 – December 2020

In the Safeguarding Children Partnership we want to make sure that professionals across the multi agency network have access to high quality learning as we all begin to get used to the ‘new norm’ of working following Covid 19.

So, we are pleased to announce that our training programme will resume in September 2020 ….albeit slightly differently. All courses will resume but will take place via a Microsoft Teams interactive Webinar. You don’t need Microsoft Teams software to attend a webinar and can join via your internet browser if that’s the case.  The Webinars will be 2 ½ hours long supported by pre-course reading for most courses with the timings for all Webinar’s 10.00am – 12.30pm. We have been busy trialling this format during the summer months and following positive feedback will move fully to this style of delivery in September 2020.

All existing course dates in the training calendar will continue to stand but will be delivered via webinar.

You’ve also told us that you’re missing spending time with colleagues face to face…working and learning together with all the benefits this brings. So we will review the above arrangements and when we are able to start delivering face to face training again we will do so at the earliest point possible.

All webinar bookings can be made in the usual way by completing our booking form and e-mailing it to

Please note that  your agency may require a manager to approve attendance. If you are applying for this training as part of your employment with either Health or Police services you must apply through your training department only.  If you do not receive an email confirming a training event your application will not have been successful, and we would recommend that you source another training date.    For any queries please contact 01752 307535.
