Best Practice Briefing: Neglect – Assessing and supporting parental capacity to change, working with resistance and responding to drift

We are pleased to share with you the topic for our next best practice briefing is focused on neglect. Delivered in partnership with Research in Practice, Dr Susannah Bowyer will explore the issues of parental capacity to change, working with resistance and avoiding drift within the context of strengths based approach and maintaining focus on the child.
To attend participants will be expected to already have an understanding of what neglect is and how neglected children present. This session will focus on the above practice issues to support early, targeted and child protection responses for children and young people.
