Having Curious and Courageous Conversations: 3 Hour Workshop Option of Face to Face or Online Session

Course Description and Outcomes

Supporting children, young people and families is a hugely rewarding role but sometimes the sorts of conversations we need to have in safeguarding can be really difficult for a range of reasons. We might feel nervous about sharing our worries with a young person or their family or about gaining consent to share information. This workshop explores how we can be professionally curious and have courageous conversations with families and colleagues in relation to safeguarding. The course will explore:

  • What makes a conversation difficult.
  • How to have curious conversations.
  • How to have courageous conversations.
  • How curious and courageous conversations help keep children safe and lead to better partnership working with families and colleagues.
